Why We Reworked Our Body Butters

Our original body butters were designed to deeply hydrate, nourish, and soften the skin using pure botanical oils and butters ~ and they did exactly that.

At Somic, we are always striving to provide our customers with the very best products possible. That means regularly reviewing our formulations, refining what already works, and thoughtfully elevating our products where we can add extra benefit.

We’ve elevated the formulation across the butter range by introducing a multi-active firming complex, while preserving the lightweight, fast-absorbing feel our butters are known for.

This upgrade reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, effective body care ~ now with added firming and skin-supporting benefits, without changing the experience you already love.

The Firming Ingredients Behind the Formula

Our Firming Body Butters are designed around a simple balance ~ the nourishing botanicals you already trust, now enhanced with targeted firming ingredients to support the skin over time.

Each butter begins with our signature base of sunflower oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and shea butter to deeply hydrate and soften the skin, while rosemary extract helps support skin comfort.

What elevates the formula is the addition of a multi-active firming complex, featuring naturally derived microalgae extract to help tighten the appearance of the skin, bamboo leaf extract to support collagen and skin structure, and hyaluronic acid to help maintain hydration and plumpness. This is complemented by pea extract and pullulans, which provide antioxidant support and help smooth the skin over time.

Together, these ingredients nourish the skin immediately, while supporting firmer-looking, healthier skin with continued use.
